This December, we are sharing our next ‘Meet the Team’ addition, which is Sam Tawill, our Executive Project Coordinator. See below to learn more about his journey in DBT.
What is your favourite hobby?
My favourite hobbies are cycling and windsurfing.
What is your favourite DBT skill and why?
Problem solving, I find this a totally practical skill that can be used at anytime with any problem. It’s useful at work and day to day but especially good for a personal problems as it helps to break things down logically and to create a forward path. We don’t always act or think logically when the subject is ourselves so this skill really helps.
What have you picked up about DBT that has been helpful to you in your daily life?
I’m quite new to DBT but have already started seeing and thinking about things more dialectically in general. I have also embraced mindfulness and radical acceptance since I have been learning about DBT and integrated them into my daily life.
Favourite memory working at biDBT?
A work trip a few of us took last month to Bristol to demo some interesting new technology. It was a good opportunity to discuss and think outside the box together about something that we could potentially implement in future.
