This March, we are sharing another part of our series of ‘Meet The Trainers’ – introducing trainer Dr Becky Wallace.
What is the best thing about being part of the British Isles DBT team?
The best thing about working with biDBT is being part of a training team that is recognised both Internationally and Nationally as providing exceptionally high-quality training with some of the best DBT trainers in the world.
Why did you choose to become a trainer?
I wanted to have the opportunity to work alongside experts within the DBT field to develop my expertise and experience, enabling me to train staff across the country to deliver highly effective DBT to the many service users that need it desperately.
What advice would you give to new DBT therapists?
It gets easier with time and practice and everyone is extremely supportive and friendly.
What is your favourite course to deliver and why?
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Foundational Training™ because it is nice to see delegates knowledge and enthusiasm grow and develop over the 5 days.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Spending time with my family and friends, swimming and taking my crazy puppy Luna for walks.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I have just got my licence to drive a speed boat!
Who would you most like to swap places with for the day?
Kate Middleton 😊
What has been your biggest achievement?
Completing a triathlon and not coming last (I came second from last)! 😊
