Phoebe Roman

Phoebe is a lecturer with the Centre for Mindfulness Practice and Research and practice at Bangor University and leads the Mindfulness in DBT module within the PGDip DBT Course.

She has worked within secondary care adult mental health for over thirty years, working as an Art Therapist before training as a DBT therapist in 2005. Phoebe began her training in Mindfulness-based Approaches at Exeter University in 2011 and completed her Masters in Mindfulness in 2016.

She is a mindfulness supervisor with the Mindfulness Network, is BAMBA registered and a member of several special interest focus groups. Implementing Mindfulness-based Interventions within the NHS is a particular area of interest.

Alongside DBT Phoebe has extensive experience of offering MBCT and MBSR to service users and NHS staff within the NHS and more recently MBCT-L to PGDip DBT students. Cultivating personal practice is an ongoing journey and underpins Phoebe’s teaching. She is committed to supporting others in their practice through offering regular drop-in practice sessions and guided mindfulness practice days.
